Notara Pty Ltd (ACN [insert upon incorporation])

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of the Notara platform ( app.notara.com.au) operated by Notara Pty Ltd. This AUP forms part of the Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the same meaning as in the Terms of Service.

1.Purpose

Notara is designed exclusively for lawful, professional use in connection with NDIS support work and documentation. This AUP exists to protect the integrity of the Platform, the privacy of NDIS participants, and the legal compliance of all users.

2.Permitted Uses

You may use the Platform to:

  • generate drafts of shift notes, incident reports, and progress notes relating to genuine NDIS support sessions;
  • manage participant profiles for NDIS participants under your care or your organisation's care;
  • invite and manage team members within your organisation's account;
  • export and store documentation for your own record-keeping and compliance purposes.

3.Prohibited Uses

3.1 False or Misleading Documentation

You must not use the Platform to generate or submit documentation you know to be false, misleading, or fabricated. This includes:

  • entering descriptions of events that did not occur;
  • altering AI-generated content to misrepresent what happened during a support session;
  • generating documentation to conceal a reportable incident.

Generating false NDIS documentation may constitute fraud and a criminal offence under the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) and state criminal laws.

3.2 Unauthorised Participant Information

You must not enter personal or health information about a participant without:

  • being their lawfully authorised support worker or provider;
  • having obtained the required consent or authorisation from the participant or their guardian.

3.3 Regulated Advice

You must not present Generated Content as:

  • legal advice;
  • medical or clinical advice;
  • a formal compliance determination;
  • an official NDIS Commission decision or ruling.

3.4 Technical Misuse

You must not:

  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI prompts, models, or underlying algorithms;
  • use automated tools (bots, scripts, crawlers) to access the Platform without written permission;
  • attempt to circumvent subscription limits, participant caps, or feature restrictions;
  • share login credentials across users not covered by your plan;
  • probe or test the Platform for security vulnerabilities without written authorisation.

3.5 Unlawful Use

You must not use the Platform:

  • in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • in a manner that infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
  • to harass, discriminate against, or harm any individual;
  • to transmit unsolicited commercial communications.

3.6 Harmful Content

You must not input content that is offensive, defamatory, pornographic, or otherwise harmful into the Platform.

4.Responsibility for Outputs

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all Generated Content before use. Submitting AI-generated documentation without review is a breach of this AUP and may constitute a breach of your obligations under the NDIS Practice Standards.

Reminder: The Platform does not guarantee that Generated Content meets regulatory requirements. The obligation to ensure documentation is accurate and compliant rests entirely with the Subscriber and User.

5.Reporting Misuse

If you become aware of misuse of the Platform by another user, please report it to saka.asif0@gmail.com. We take all reports seriously.

6.Consequences of Breach

Violation of this AUP may result in:
